
ABOUT
Taylor See, a native of Las Vegas, NV, is recognized as a Western Region Special Encouragement Award Winner and a San Francisco District Winner of The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (2022), the First Place winner of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) Concerto Competition (2022), and a Finalist in the James Toland Vocal Arts Voice Competition (2020), Classical Singer (CS MUSIC) Voice Competition (2020) and Pasadena Vocal Competition (2021).
Taylor will be an Apprentice Artist this summer 2023 at the Santa Fe Opera and a Resident Artist with Shreveport Opera for the 2023-24 season. She is also an alumna of the Houston Grand Opera Young Artists Vocal Academy (YAVA).
Taylor has sung the roles of Cleopatra in Handel’s Giulio Cesare at SFCM (2022), Dot in Jonathan Dove’s The Enchanted Pig at SFCM (2022), Adelaide Mills/Miss Thompson/Helen Mills in the West Coast Premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s The House without a Christmas Tree with Opera Las Vegas (2021), Contessa Almaviva in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at SFCM (2019), Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone with Vegas City Opera (2021), Bellangère in Dukas's Ariane et Barbe-bleue with West Edge Opera (July/August 2022) and Sister Felicity and Sister Valentine (cover) in Dialogues of the Carmelites with San Francisco Opera (October 2022), Teofane in Handel's Ottone at SFCM (2020), Valencienne in Franz Lehár's The Merry Widow at Utah Vocal Arts Academy Summer Opera Festival (2017), Lucy Brown in Kurt Weill's The Threepenny Opera at SFCM (2018), Julie in David Conte’s Firebird Motel at SFCM (2020), Novizia in Puccini's Suor Angelica at SFCM (2017), and Vixen (cover) in Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen at Opera Steamboat (2018). Upcoming roles include Vitige in Handel's Flavio at SFCM (2023), Anna Gomez in Menotti's The Consul at SFCM (2023), Euridice (cover) in Monteverdi's Orfeo with Santa Fe Opera (2023), and Second Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute with Santa Rosa Symphony (2023).
Taylor was the soprano soloist in Faure’s Requiem at SFCM (2019), "Knoxville: Summer of 1915" with the SFCM Orchestra (2023) as well as singing the role of Catharina Bach in a new musical, "That Week with the Bachs" at the Spacious Grace Festival at Grace Cathedral (2023).
Taylor is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), earning her Bachelor of Music (2020) and Master of Music in (2023) in vocal performance, under the tutelage Deborah Voigt and César Ulloa.
